Renewal and Inspiration

The triple flame represents Brigid, both goddess and saint, in her three natures: light, life and growth. Brigid inspires creative renewal and the promises of the season. Her light thaws Winter and brings Spring.

The Legend of the First "Bride"...
Legend has it that the medieval Knights of Chivalry chose St. Brigid as their patroness and that it was they who first called their wives "brides." Even today, St. Brigid, or "Bride," is believed to confer a special blessing on women who are about to marry.

Interesting side note:
The oldest church in London is St. Bride's on Fleet Street, named for St. Brigid of Kildare.

Pendant Materials: Charm is 18 carat gold-plated bronze. Handmade in Ireland.

Includes strory card and leather pouch.

The cord necklace is 2 mm wide, light brown oiled round leather lace cut from the center of the hide.

Adjustable Fisherman's Knot used on both ends.
